Before booking

1. What is Sensation Apartments/Who are we?

It is a new concept of accommodation, based on the daily rental of exclusive apartments located in buildings for this type of accommodation. Our apartments are fully equipped to make you feel at home, living our city like another inhabitant, with the help of all our staff.

The buildings are located in Sagrada Familia neighborhood, in the Eixample’s district, one of them a few meters from the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia and the other, very close to it and also near the modernist monumental complex of the Hospital de Sant Pau.

In our buildings you will enjoy all the equipment you may think of and different exclusive services (see description of services on our own page), such as Finnish sauna, themed terraces, one with a small pool and / or solarium area on the roof of the building and the other with  a chill out area and unbeatable views of the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia; You can also enjoy an equipped fitness area, self-service laundry area and private parking in the same building (this one with additional charge, according to detailed information). You can also ask our staff for advice and they will gladly help you.

Our service hours are from Monday to Sunday from 08:00h. to 22:00h (Spanish time). In addition, once you are with us, you will also have a 24 hours telephone number for any emergency that occurs out of that schedule.

3. Apartments’ equipment

In general, you will have all kinds of necessary equipment for temporary accommodation. You will also have many basic amenities, both for the bathroom and the kitchen. See our services section in each building.

4. Check-in and check-out times

Our check-in time starts at 3:00 p.m. If your arrival is scheduled before that time, contact us at checkin@sensation-apartments.com and we will try to have it ready as soon as possible. Check-in after hours (later than 10:00 p.m.) must contact us in advance at checkin@sensation-apartments.com, so that we can inform you of the procedures to follow (late check-in box).

In these specific cases, it is necessary to contact previously in checkin@sensation-apartments.com in order to inform you about the procedure to follow.

Check out time ends at 11: 00h. If you would like to leave later than 11:00h, please ask at reception about our late check out rates. The late check out is always subject to availability.

We have safely store your luggage, if necessary, after check out time. Please, ask at  Reception.

The Reception of the Sensation Sagrada Familia is located in the building itself, at Rosselló street, 380 (opening hours 08:00h – 22:00h, every day). The Sensation Authentic Gracia reception is located 50 meters from the building, at Sardenya Street, 412 (office hours 09:00h – 18:00h, Monday to Friday). In case of arrival at the Sensation Authentic Gracia outside of the hours of reception, but within the hours of attention of the Sensation Sagrada Familia, the check-in will take place there (it is a 7 minutes walk to the apartment) . Arrivals outside the hours of the Sensation Sagrada Familia, will be made in the specified conditions of late check in.

5. Rules of conduct

It is mandatory to keep a good and respectful behavior with the apartments’ equipment and with the rest of our guests, as well as with the neighbors. All apartments have balconies or terraces. The use of these, especially during nighttime (between 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.), needs to be careful with this, and under no circumstance it is allowed to listen to music with speakers or hold conversations in high volume that could annoy other people. During the check-in, you will be reminded of all these aspects, as well as those related to the use of common services equipment.

If there is any breakage or damage in the apartments, let us know and we will try to solve it quickly. Once reviewed, we will indicate if you must pay an additional cost.

Parties are not allowed in the apartments, especially outside daylight hours (8am to 9pm).

Smoking is not allowed inside the apartments, or in common areas.

Pets are not allowed.

There is a daily garbage pick-up service, which you will be informed about at check-in. Organic waste must be removed every day for yours and our comfort. About the rest of the rubbish, you can request us to pick it during the provided service, as we recommend not accumulate it inside the apartments.

In the apartments you will find a personalized book with interesting information and extracts from the basic rules of coexistence. Do not hesitate to consult it or, under any doubt, ask to our staff.

Ignoring or not respecting the rules of coexistence will entail sanction or eviction, without claim of possible refund, or any compensation from our part.

The accommodation in our apartments is commercial. The contract that binds us to our clients implies the acceptance of these basic rules and the jurisdiction and competence of the courts of our city

6. Personal data treatment

In compliance with article 5, section 1.a) of the Organic Law 15/1999 on Protection of Personal Data, we inform the client that the personal data provided will be incorporated into a file duly registered in the Registry established to that end by the Data Protection Agency, and will serve for the effective provision of contracted services. Only employees and some suppliers who need to know such data in order to provide these services will have access to them. In any case, the customer may exercise the rights of access, opposition, rectification and cancellation provided in the aforementioned Law.

7. Security/guarantee deposit

At check-in time, a security deposit of 300, - € will be blocked upon a provided debit/credit card. Once the check-out is done, and no incidents are found, the deposit will be returned. Please, note that the refund usually takes up to 7 working days.

8. Cleaning conditions on our apartments

We clean the apartment before your arrival and after your departure. The apartment must be in acceptable conditions of cleanliness, proper of an orderly use. In case of neglect and lack of care, extra cleaning cost may be applied. If the stay is equal or superior to 5 nights, we will provide you with additional cleanings, included in the price. You will be informed about it during the check-in process. You can also request additional cleanings and change of bed linen notifying in advance at reception (subject to extra cost).

9. Are there any additional charges?

We remind you that there is a city tax applicable to tourist accommodation. This rate in Barcelona is 2.48, - € person (for those over 16 years) and night, up to a maximum of 7 nights. There are no extra costs other than those related to the extra services or purchases that you make in the establishment and which you will be informed about by our staff, who will be happy to assist you.

10. Do children pay?

Children up to 3 years old do not pay accommodation fee. We also have cots and high chairs, as well as hygiene products for them. In case that you would like to benefit from these elements, without any additional cost, we need to know in advance to have everything prepared.

11. Can we pay in a currency other than the euro?

You can pay the amount in the currency you prefer. The price is set in Euros, but if you choose any other currency, the official exchange rate of the day for that currency will be applied, if the payment is made by credit card. Cash payments can only be made in Euros.

12. Will I need any plug adapters?

All our apartments have European plugs. We recommend bringing your own adapter. If you do not have your own, you can ask for one at Reception (subject to availability).

13. Is there a private parking?

We have private parking in the Sensation Sagrada Familia building. We recommend booking a place in advance. The parking rate is 22, - € / day, but there are promotional rates applied to longer stays.

14. How to get to your apartments from the airport?

There are different means of transport that can be used for the transfer from the airport. Contact us and we will inform you and help you prepare your trip.

15. What public transport can I find close to the apartments?

Just 150 meters from  Sensation Sagrada Familia you will find the metro station (suburban train) of Sagrada Familia, line 5 (blue) and  line 2 (violet), from where you can connect with any point of the city. In the building Sensation Authentic Grace, you also have several options to move around the city, metro lines at a distance of about 500 m. (line 4- yellow- and line 5 -blue-). In the surroundings of both buildings you will find many lines of urban bus and stops for the Barcelona tourist bus, as well as taxi stops  and bicycle rental offices(consult in our Reception for more information)

16. Where can I find or leave comments about these accommodations?

We greatly appreciate the comments of our customers as they help us to continue improving for them. After your stay you will receive an e-mail, asking about your opinion that you can leave in any of our social media accounts or in international networks, such as TripAdvisor.

17. Is Barcelona safe?

Barcelona is a welcoming, multicultural city and the birthplace of great movements such as Modernism. In general it is a very safe city. Especially in times of greater saturation of visitors, however, you must take care of your belongings at all times, to avoid theft by carelessness, advice that we extend to all travelers and anywhere, not just Barcelona.

Reservation process

1. Included charges

The price of accommodation, indirect taxes (VAT) and the final cleaning of the apartment are included in the shown price. It does not include the amount related to tourist accommodation taxes, nor the possible additional services that the guest may contract during their stay.

2. Terms of contract and cancellation policy

Standard rate:

  • The amount corresponding to the first night of the contracted stay will be charged at the time of booking. The rest must be paid at the time of check in.
  • Cancellations prior to 7 days before arrival will have full refund of the prepayment made.
  • Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the scheduled arrival date will have a penalty equivalent to the amount corresponding to the first night.
  • In case of no-show, without prior notice, the cancellation of the reservation will be made, and the prepayment will be kept as a cancellation penalty

Non-refundable rate:

  • 100% of the total of the contracted stay will be charged at the time of booking. This amount  will not be refundable under any concept, as indicated by the name of the rate.
  • If you want to cancel or modify these reservations, please contact us.
  • If you make a reservation through any channel other than our own network, direct contact or web, you must contact the channel where you made the reservation for any modification or cancellation.

3. Payment methods accepted

  • During the reservation process, payments must be made by debit or credit card, VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS, or through the payment systems that each channel, where the reservation is made, is admitted. We also accept payments via PAYPAL (for these cases, please contact us by phone (+34 935150709) or e-mail: reservas@sensation-apartments.com).
  • At your arrival, upon check-in, payments will be accepted in any of the aforementioned systems and also in cash (EURO currency).
  • If the prepayment is made by bank card, whether it is partial or full prepayment by non-refundable rate, you must present the card used upon arrival. If you do not have it at that time, the prepayment will be canceled by returning the money to the account of the card used and a new payment of the contracted stay must be made. If you expect your card to cease to be operational before the arrival date, or there is no possibility to present it at that time, please contact us in advance at checkin@sensation-apartments.com.
